Placenta care

return to mother earth

Honoring the First Companion

Your placenta is far more than an organ, it is your baby's first home, first source of nourishment, and faithful companion throughout pregnancy. For many mothers, offering gratitude to this sacred life-giving vessel can become a meaningful part of closing the birth journey and stepping into motherhood with intention.

There are infinite ways to honor a placenta.

One of the beautiful gifts of our time is that we have access to the wisdom and traditions of cultures around the world that have lovingly preserved sacred postpartum rituals for generations. We can learn from them, draw inspiration from them, and carry their reverence into our own lives with respect.

And if none of those traditions deeply resonate with you yet, perhaps it's because your ceremony is waiting to be created.

This is your permission to trust your own inner knowing. To listen deeply. To create a ritual that reflects your birth, your family, your beliefs, and your relationship with the earth.

There is no perfect formula.

Presence. Love. Intention.

These are the only seeds a ceremony truly needs.

My role is not to tell you how your placenta should be honored, but to help you uncover the ritual that feels authentic, meaningful, and deeply your own.
